Sister Mary Elizabeth Tebo, FSP, was born in Bay City, Michigan, and has been a Daughter of St. Paul since 1964. She is the author of several books for children and middle grade readers. Illustrator Christian Slade grew up in New Jersey and California and currently resides in Florida, but it is at his art desk and in the pages of his sketchbook where he really lives. Drawing upon his travels and life experiences, Christian uses traditional media, such as pen and ink and watercolor, to create his narrative artwork. He has illustrated for many children's books and magazines.
