Anna Mei has settled into her new town, and even better, she's found a great group of friends: Danny, Zandra, and Luis.
On the surface, summer vacation couldn't be better. But why doesn't it feel that way? No matter how hard she tries to ignore it, Anna Mei just can't stop wondering: What is Danny hiding? And why has she never even met her best friend's family? But while she pushes to find out what Danny's problem is, Anna Mei does a pretty good job of trying to escape from her own. Is Danny not the friend she thought he was? Or, has Anna Mei had everything backwards? Read how Anna Mei discovers what real life-and real friendship-are all about.
Carol A. Grund first introduced the character of Anna Mei Anderson in Anna Mei, Cartoon Girl (Pauline Books & Media, 2010). The enthusiastic response to that story inspired the further adventures of Anna Mei and her friends for this sequel, as well as for the third book in the series, also planned for release in 2011. Carol's stories and poems have appeared in children's magazines and book anthologies, including Ladybug, Ladybug (Carus Publishing), Friend 2 Friend, Celebrate the Season and Family Matters (all from Pauline Books & Media). She has also contributed to several Chicken Soup for the Soul collections. Find more about Carol-and a special Anna Mei site-at CarolAGrund.com.
I like this book very much. I purchased it to get to know St. Jane Frances de Chantal better this year. Alrhough it isn't a biography as such, I am able to get a better understanding of her through her writings.
I find her spiritual wisdom very enlightening as well. Good Spiritual Boon, Amazon Review
This book is an easy read when the world tries to complicate everything. Sit back with a cup of tea and listen to the advise of a great Saint as if she were talking to you as a mother. This is one that I will read and read again. Theresa
