Interreligious Dialogue Official Teaching Of The Catho
The documents collected in this volume, compiled at the request of the Pontifical Council for Interreligious Dialogue, include the documents of the Second Vatican Council, and the encyclicals, apostolic exhortations, papal discourses, of Pope Paul VI, Pope John Paul I, and Pope John Paul II, and also some documents from the different dicasteries of the Roman Curia.
The word "interreligious" has two aims. The first is that of providing for Catholics easy access to the theological motivations for interreligious dialogue as explained by the recent Magisterium, and the second to offer to the followers of other religions the official thinking of the Catholic Church with regard to the various religion of the world. The Church wishes to continue building bridges of friendship with the followers of other religions, in order to seek the true good of every person and of society as a whole.
