Dear Parents and Teachers,

Lenten and Easter customs and traditions don't have to be elaborate to hold special meaning. They can be as simple as receiving ashes on Ash Wednesday, or placing "alms" in the "rice bowl," or praying the Stations of the Cross. These customs and traditions can form warm memories for our children, and they can also pass on valuable lessons about our faith.

With plenty of hands-on activities, kid-friendly readings from Scripture, pint-sized prayers, and reproducible pages, this book provides additional tools for parents and teachers to make the Lenten and Easter seasons more meaningful for their children.

Knowing that families and classrooms often have busy days with hectic schedules, the projects included in this books are tailored to fit into crowded calendars and lesson plans.

It is my hope that this book will provide you with fresh ideas that you can share with your children and students.

May the seasons of Lent and Easter offer you many opportunities to nourish the seeds of faith you have already planted.
