Pheme Perkins is professor of New Testament in the Department of Theology at Boston College. She received her PhD in New Testament and Christian origins from Harvard University and has served as president of the Catholic Biblical Association and the New England region of the American Academy of Religion. She has also served as associate editor of the New Oxford Annotated Bible and the New Interpreter s Dictionary of the Bible. She has written more than twenty five books.
