John J. Cardinal Carberry (1904-1998) was the fifth Archbishop of St. Louis, Missouri. He served the Archdiocese of St. Louis from 1968-1979, after his ministry as bishop of Lafayette, Indiana (1957-1965) and Columbus, Ohio (1965-1968).
