Sister Mary Joseph Peterson, FSP, grew up in a small midwestern town in Illinois, which today is called Colona. She entered the Daughters of St. Paul in 1979. She has a BFA in illustration and graphic design from the Moore College of Art and Design in Philadelphia and has illustrated numerous books for children and young people.
