Discover the story of the the man whom Saint John Paul II called "the first apostle of the new evangelization." On the night between the nineteenth and twentieth centuries, a sixteen-year-old seminarian named James Alberione knelt in Eucharistic adoration. The inspiration he received that night would change his lives and the lives of countless others. Convicted of the need to evangelize the world using the most effective media, Alberione would eventually found ten religious congregations and institutes that pushed the boundaries of communications and media to bring the Gospel to the modern world. This riveting documentary, filmed on-location in Rome and produced by Sister Helena Raphael Burns, FSP, offers a glimpse into the life of a saint for our times. Featuring interviews from members of the Society of St. Paul, the Daughters of St. Paul, and the other eight congregations and institutes of the Pauline Family, "Media Apostle" follows Blessed James Alberione's journey from farm boy to media evangelizer and celebrates the spirit and charism that continue to animate the congregations he founded.
