Discover the adventures, challenges, and inspiration that molded Pope Francis into a missionary of God's unconditional love. Pope Francis made history on March 13, 2013 when he was elected the first Jesuit pope, the first pope from Latin America, and the first to take the papal name in honor of Saint Francis of Assisi. But before he was pope, he was Jorge from Argentina. This delightfully illustrated biography introduces young readers to Jorge's family and childhood memories; narrates how Jorge heard and answered the call to the priesthood; and documents his adventures, challenges, and joys as a Jesuit priest and cardinal before becoming pope. More than a history book, Jorge from Argentina is a spiritual biography that inspires children to seek God's will for their lives and say "yes" to the adventure of following Jesus.
